Tarte’s Inside Out Vitamin Gloss Buzz

As a result of a team effort with nutriceutical company Borba, Tarte has once again set the beauty world buzzing over a new product.

Inside Out is Tarte’s new “vitamin gloss,” which contains complexion-improving acai, green tea, grapeseed extract and Vitamins A, C, E, and K.

With all the lip-smacking and gloss smearing that can go on in a day, you will inevitably end up consuming at least some amount of your lipgloss. However, this product will supposedly deliver a little more bang for your buck (and lick, as the case may be), since you’re not only getting shiny lips, but you’re getting some nutrients as well.

Inside Out comes in 3 colors: Apple-A-Day (a sheer, rosy red), Liquid Sunshine (a sheer nude) and OM (a sheer, pearly pink). The gloss has a juicy pomegranate scent and is similar to Tarte’s other long-lasting, moisturizing glosses.

While there doesn’t yet appear to be any documentation on whether you actually can receive any significant amount of nutritional value from normal use of this product, it’s still nice to think that your lipgloss is extra good for you — just don’t think swiping this stuff on is going to get you out of eating your vegetables.
