Spearmint Tea May Curb Unwanted Hair Growth

Preliminary research from Phytotherapy Research suggests that drinking spearmint tea may help women who suffer from hirsutism, which is a condition where a woman experiences excessive hair growth. The theory behind this is that spearmint tea helps lower the levels of testosterone that contribute to the excessive hair growth.

But what about women who simply seek to inhibit regular hair growth? And would excessive consumption of spearmint-infused tea negatively affect regular, desirable hair growth (like your eyebrows, lashes, and head)? Scientists simply do not know — so don’t toss your waxes, depilatories, or razors quite yet.
