Will Galliano’s New Perfume be as Gorgeous as His Gowns?

With a fragrance like Miss Dior Cherie under his belt, we’re banking on Galliano’s newest olfactory venture to smell just as sweet. According to a press release issued by John Galliano S.A and Selective Beauty S.A.S, the iconic fashion designer has teamed with the international cosmetic manufacturer to create a new fragrance.

Selective Beauty, which manufactures and distributes fragrances for brand partners that include Burberry, Agent Provocateur, Bulgari, and Benetton, stated that it will act as “John Galliano’s laboratory for translating its fertile creative vision into a leading international fragrance brand.”

Unlike Miss Dior Cherie, which was the result of collaborative effort between Galliano and perfume designer Christine Nagel for the House of Dior, Galliano’s new fragrance will be created, manufactured, and distributed under the John Galliano brand name.

Galliano maintains his own fashion house while still acting as the women’s designer at Dior. His designs have graced countless runways and red carpets and captured a loyal following from celebrities such as Charlize Theron, Kate Moss, Cate Blanchett, and Nicole Kidman.
