Update: My final review of Neutrogena Illuminating Microderm Cleansing Pads is now available at: Neutrogena Illuminating Microderm Cleansing Pads Reviews: Part 2
Neutrogena Illuminating
Microderm Cleansing Pads
The ads are intriguing and the price tag is reasonable. Neutrogena Illuminating Microderm Cleansing Pads promise “professional microdermabrasion results in 4 weeks.” And at $8 for a box of 24 of these little babies, I was willing to give them a go (it probably also helped that I was on a bit of an impulse-buying streak that day).
These microderm cleansing pads are dual-sided with a pocket for you to slip your fingers into for better control. The way you use these is to first pass the pad under warm running water to activate the deep-cleaning foaming lather. You then massage your skin using the side of the pad that has little bumpy “polishers” that are supposed to smooth away imperfections. After scrubbing with that side, you flip the pad over and use the side with “nourishing stripes” in order to condition and soften the skin.
So do these pads really work? I’ve only been using them once a day for the last four days, but my skin does feel smoother. I’m not convinced that the “nourishing stripes” side is much more than glorified cotton, but I do like the rich foamy cleanser. It makes my skin feel really clean, but not dry and tight.
I’m giving these puppies their 4-week chance and I’ll report back here with a final review.
Have you tried them yet? If you have, please let me know what you think!
Have a great weekend, fellow makeup moxies, and see you next week!

I have been using these for almost 2 weeks and LOVE them!! yes, my skin is smoother, but also more clear and with fewer blackheads, while retaining moisture and non-irritating. I have tried several other products, including much more expensive alpa/beta hydroxy acid pads daily which did little more than irritate my skin. Highly recommened this product–more bang for your buck!!

Hi! Thanks so much for sharing your opinion on this product. I’m glad to hear that you’ve found something that works so well for you! I totally agree that one of this product’s biggest strengths is that it is pretty gentle on your skin.
On the other hand, it might not be the best for acne-prone types — but more on that when I post my final review of this product ;) Look out for it next week!
