Two Aveeno Continuous Protection sun care products, the Sunblock Lotion SPF 55 and Baby Sunblock Lotion SPF 55, have recently been awarded the first ever American Academy of Dermatology AAD Seal Of Recognition(TM)*. The AAD Seal of Recognition was developed to identify products that have been proven to safely and effectively aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin.
What is supposedly exceptional about these products is their use of what Aveeno calls its “Active Photobarrier Complex,” which is a combination of the sunscreens Avobenzone and Oxybenzone, to cover the full UVA/UVB spectrum.
While Avobenzone is believed to be one of the most powerful absorbers of UVA rays (the kind that cause photo-aging), it has also been known (somewhat ironically) to tend to break down and lose effectiveness when continuously exposed to sunlight. According to Aveeno, the Active Photobarrier Complex was developed to stabilize the Avobenzone and fully harness its ability to protect against UVA Rays.
In addition to this superior sun protection, Continuous Protection Sunblock promises to offer the same natural ingredient-based moisturization and protection as Aveeno’s other products.
Has anyone tried Aveeno’s Continous Protection Sunblock? Love it? Hate it? Let us know!

i always thought that aveeno products were natural and that soy proteins were good for a person but aveeno has tons of toxins in them such as parbens methyl somthings and and a wide long list of those additives. I tried the aveeno sunblocker and burned like heck i hate aveeno products and i am sick and tired of aveeno products getting away with saying they are the leader in active naturals they are not natural products and the skin will absorb any harsh paraben or on unnatrual perservative. Soy does come from asia and japan and those other countries. But they only used soy for famine and it had to be fermintented to be digested so dont you dare think aveeno is a great product becuase their not and either is junkie olay. Whats Good is 100% natural shea butters and do your research about natural skin care. THANK YOU, A CONCERNED CONSUMER.
