While showing the Jillie’s Crush lip gloss collection at Cosmoprof North America, company President and Jillie’s Crush creator Julie Hung explained that young girls who want to wear makeup don’t have much to choose from, since the overwhelming majority of cosmetics are created for grown women.
Seeking to fill the sparsely populated niche, Jillie’s Crush aims to serve the tween — and particularly the even younger-aged — market by providing age-appropriate lipglosses with fun names like “B.F 4 Eva”, “Passing Notes”, “Don’t Tell Him”, and “He Said What?”
If this brand had been around when I was a young makeup moxiette, I definitely would have been giggling over (and posting my own!) secret crushes on the front page of the Jillie’s Crush website.
