Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer Review
Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer with SPF 15 lightly hydrates the skin while offering just enough coverage to even out skin tone and smooth away minor imperfections.
I love that this silky moisturizer leaves a fresh, dewy finish and comes in ten natural shades that will match a diverse range of skin tones.
Like with many tinted moisturizers, if you have very oily skin (I have pretty oily skin myself), you might find yourself getting a bit shiny after a few hours of wearing Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer. However, it’s nothing you can’t fix with a little swipe of powder or a quick blot with a face paper — it’s but a small price to pay for skin that looks like it glows naturally. It’s a definite thumbs up.
Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer is available for $30 from Sephora.
Has anyone tried Stila Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer? What did you think of it?

Probably the best tinted moisturizer on the market. When I tried this tinted moisturizer, I liked it even better than the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer. The colors are so forgiving and it blends in so easily. It is true that if your skin is on the oilier side your face will be shiny, so you’ll need to use powder. I usually dust my face with Stila Illuminating Powder Foundation using a powder brush after I put on the tinted moisturizer. The combination of these products together give a beautiful finish.

I had a small sample-size of this tinted moisturizer, and now that I’ve used it up, I’m going to buy more. I have normal-dry skin and am above “a certain age.” The Stila blends into my skin beautifully, no color lines, and no caking in my “laugh lines.” It’s really perfect for women who don’t usually want to wear a foundation.

Certain age, schmertain age…I have no doubt that, whatever your age is, you’re gorgeous ; )
And that’s awesome that you’ve found a tinted moisturizer that you really like. Thank you for sharing your experience with it!

I love all Stila products and I actually like to mix the new Oil Free SPF-30 Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer with the Illuminating Tinted Moisturizer in my hand before applying. If I need some extra coverage I will also add a little dot of Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation into the mix. This combo really works well for me all year long, but like you said as with all tinted moisturizers, especially in warmer weather, after a few hours you get a tad shiny, so I like to finish with a light dusting of Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder. Stila is the best, it was the first makeup I ever had, and will always be my go-to favorite.

Does Stila’s Tinted Moisturizer include paraben?
9 Jazmin // Oct 20, 2008 at 4:57 pm
Yes, it does include parabens. Here’s the ingredient list (you’ll see methylparaben highlighted below) :
active ingredients: octinoxate 4.00%, avobenzone 2.00% ingredients: water (aqua purificata) purified, diethylhexyl carbonate, ethylhexyl stearate, cyclopentasiloxane, diisostearoyl polyglyceryl-3 dimer dilinoleate, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, microcrystalline wax (cera microcristallina), glycerin, cetyl dimethicone, hydrogenated castor oil, magnesium sulfate, aminomethyl propanol, chlorphenesin, benzoic acid, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben, [+/-(may contain) mica, titanium dioxide (ci 77891), iron oxides (ci 77491, ci 77492, ci 77499)]
If you’re looking for a paraben-free tinted moisturizer, you might like the one made by Sukicolor : )
