Carol’s Daughter Wet - Natural Shine For Lips is comforting and wholesome in its sheer simplicity.
This no-frills pot lip balm is formulated with natural ingredients like shea butter, almond oil, macadamia oil, beeswax, and cocoa butter.
I tried the Wet - Natural Shine in “Coconut”, which has a subtle fragrance that is vaguely reminiscent of pina coladas. The coconut flavor, however, is extremely subtle and isn’t too sweet or overpowering.
While I really like that this light gloss helps soften lips and delivers an immediate “wet-natural” shine, I wish the product would be a bit longer-wearing. Since this gloss is quickly absorbed, I’ve been reapplying it every fifteen minutes…which isn’t particularly neat or convenient since you have to apply it with your finger or a lip brush.
Nevertheless, I still like this stuff and I think it’s worth a try if you’re looking for a light, moisturizing lipgloss that is paraben-free and contains no petroleum, mineral oil, or artificial colors.
Carol’s Daughter Wet - Natural Shine For Lips is available for $6 from Sephora.
