Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara Review

Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara is so much better than the original formula.

I tried the original, non-waterproof Diorshow mascara years ago and wasn’t that impressed with the cult classic because it had a tendency to run.

Though the waterproof version started to smudge a little after about seven hours of regular wear, I’m willing to give Diorshow Waterproof Mascara some leeway because it performed very well in all other areas.

Diorshow Waterproof Mascara produces good length, great thickness, minimal clumping, and excellent curl preservation. I loved how this super inky-black mascara really fattened up my fine lashes and produced a nice, thick fringe.

You can pile on more of this mascara for added drama, but make sure you have an eyelash comb handy. While Diorshow Waterproof is clump-free with normal application (1 - 2 coats), lashes will start to stick together if you really load this stuff on. Just make sure to give your lashes a good comb-through after every coat and you should be fine.

Like I said, there was a little smudging — but it was easily fixed with a quick swipe of a Q-tip or a makeup eraser pen.

All in all, this is still a very good mascara and I recommend it.

Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara comes in Black, Azure Blue, and Chestnut and is available for $23 from Sephora.

Have you tried Diorshow Waterproof Mascara? What do you think of it?

I think it’s a pretty good mascara but I find that my lashes stick together alot even with a good combthru. And it’s pricey at $23 a tube! I find that MaxFactor Lash Perfection Waterproof is very comparable to this Diorshow if not better, for only $6 at Walmart.

Hi Gee, thanks so much for commenting!

I’m a fan of Max Factor mascaras, too. Lash Perfection, 2000 Calorie (also similar to Diorshow) and Stretch-and-Separate are all great mascaras.

But, without taking price into account, I think I’d still prefer Diorshow. I think it has deeper pigment and it doesn’t tend to get crunchy.

But, nevertheless, I totally agree that you don’t need spend $23 to have fab-looking lashes ; )

this is one of my favorite mascaras ever. you can dress it up or down ((i know that sounds like clothing or something)). it stayed on all day and it definitely shows up on pictures much much better than most mascaras because of the pigment and the blackness. its the blackest mascara i have ever used and it definitely that best… ((i love chanel too))

lol, I definitely agree with being able to “dress up or dress down” this mascara ; ) It’s dramatic enough for night, but not too over-the top for day!
