Tocca Scented Hotel Rooms

Happy Weekend, makeup moxies! I’m writing to you from a hotel room in chilly Reno, NV…and my room is for the most part complete with wireless internet access, mini fresh fruit pastries laid out in the evening, and, of course, some nice Tarocco bath and body products scented with Sicilian Blood Oranges and infused with olive oil.

I thought I mastered the art of packing airline-friendly makeup bags — indeed, an otherwise straight-faced airline security official girlishly lit up and cooed over the mini bottles in my ProActiv Travel Set.

Unfortunately, I overlooked a small, but luxurious detail: travel candles in a favorite scent. They just add a soothing, sensuous touch to any hotel room.

Because I’m currently obsessed with Tocca Cleopatra perfume (and had to leave my non-travel-friendly-sized bottle at home), I’m wishing I had one of Tocca’s Cleopatra-scented travel candles ($16, Sephora).

These Tocca “candelinas” are also available in a set of four that includes not only the Cleopatra-version, but also “Grace” (Casablanca Lily), “Havana” (spicy sugarcane and rum), and “Kyoto”, a fruity-floral scent (set available for $42 from Sephora).

With or without the candle, I’ll still be kicking it like Cleopatra between my Egyptian cotton sheets — but for now I’m off for a Saturday night! Have a wonderful weekend, makeup moxies!
