Finding the perfect shade of foundation might get a lot easier thanks to Color Match, a recent innovation from Hewlett-Packard (yes, the same HP who makes printers and computers).
According to Hewlitt-Packard, the Color Match service works by holding a special color chart next to your face and then snapping a photo of yourself with your cell phone.
You’d then send your pic to HP’s servers, which will use the card to employ color-correction technology to match your skin tone to hues in its database. Seconds later, you’re supposed to receive a text message recommending which shade of foundation is right for you.
This kind of technology sounds amazing…that is, of course, if it actually works.
For now, however, the biggest mystery is the identity of HP’s partner. Hewlett Packard still hasn’t disclosed which “large cosmetics company” will be using Color Match.
I have a few guesses who it might be…but what do you think?

Hi Julie! This concept behind Color Match is amazing. I’m, of course, deeply skeptical…but I can’t wait to try it out!
