Inside Dior Beauty Las Vegas

Despite a two-hour delay due to some last-minute construction, the first freestanding Dior Beauty store in North America opened its doors on Saturday in The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas.

So what’s so special about the new Dior Beauty store?

The Complete Range of Dior Cosmetics Under One Roof
When I visited “Perfumes Christian Dior”, I was immediately struck by how impressive it is for its size.

At only 350 sq. ft., the compact boutique is neatly packed to the hilt with more Dior beauty lines under one roof than any other North American retail outlet that currently carries Dior cosmetics.

In addition to its complete range of color cosmetics, Dior Beauty carries lines that were once available only at department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue or Neiman Marcus. Among these is the high-end L’Or de Vie skin care line — a clear favorite of the store’s manager, Carol Hassaniel (whose smooth, glowing skin may be testament enough to the effectiveness of the luxury skin care line).

Exclusive Product Offerings
The fact that Dior Beauty carries the complete range of Dior cosmetics, however, is just one of the characteristics that makes Dior Beauty distinctive.

According to Christian Dior Parfums Account Executive Marlina Reveles, plans are in the works to offer exclusive new products that will only be available from Dior Beauty.

Why Las Vegas?
When asked why Dior’s parent company LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton chose Las Vegas as the location of its first North American Dior Beauty store, Marlina explained that Las Vegas presented a great test market because “[The Forum Shops at Caesars] is the best mall in the country.”

And, indeed, Dior Beauty occupies a particularly prime piece of retail space in one of the world’s most luxurious shopping destinations. Wedged between Dolce & Gabbana and Opals and Gems of Australia, Dior Beauty is located at the highly-trafficked center of the Forum Shops and is just a few doors down from its popular sister stores, Dior (the clothing boutique) and Louis Vuitton.
