A Thanksgiving “Beauty” Tip

The “Autumn” panel from the Four Seasons Series (1896)
by Alphonse Mucha

Today, make sure to take a moment to really appreciate the incredible beauty of all the little things that go into making your Thanksgiving special.

For me, it’s the musical clink of wine glasses, the deep, earthy-sweet smell of pumpkin pie and, especially, the genuine cheeriness of my mom’s (perfectly lipsticked ;) smile.

When you actually take the time to find beauty in even the smallest details, it makes you realize just how truly thankful you are to have them.

I hope you have an absolutely beautiful Thanksgiving, Makeup Moxies!

P.S. Whether or not you’re hitting the stores on Black Friday, be sure to join me tomorrow for a cup of coffee and a little self-indulgence as we kick off Part One of the Merry Moxie Holiday Guide.

This painting is truly gorgeous–it totally reminds me of my little sister and how she likes to lounge around on the holidays amidst the chaos around her! :)

I truly enjoy visiting your site. Not only is it very informative and very up to date, it is also very classy ! I specially enjoy your choice of art work depicting beautiful women. Mucha is my favorite Art Noveau artist.
P.S. I wonder what brand of lipstick your mother wears that make her smile truly memorable ?

Trish: Lol, I can relate to your little sister! But since I’m pretty much useless in the kitchen, my family tends to give me a free pass :)

Margarita: Hi! It’s nice to see you here again and I’m really flattered that you like the site and enjoy the art work.

I LOVE Mucha, too! My dad has a beautiful book about Mucha’s paintings and I always enjoyed looking at it when I was little.

lol, and as for that unforgettable lipstick my mom wears? For the longest time, I remember her wearing a pretty shade of coral pink that was made by Ultima II. When it got discontinued, she went crazy looking for a replacement and I”m pretty sure she now wears Estee Lauder.

I’m not 100% on that, but I’ll ask her and let you know ;)
