Smashbox’s new Green Room collection includes some very interesting and uber-desirable “hybrid” products.
Chief among them is the Smashbox Hybrid 2-in-1 Luminizing Primer ($32, Nordstrom), which uses a dual chamber tube to brilliantly combine two of my ultimo-fave Smashbox products: Artificial Light and Photo Finish Foundation Primer.
The primer’s dual chamber tube dispenses both products together so that you can get a time-saving combined dose of both face primer and luminizer.
The other multi-tasking product in the Green Collection is the Hybrid 2 in 1 Color & Shine Lip Gloss ($19, Nordstrom).
Available in three shades, this new gloss contains an inner chamber that contains lip color and an outer chamber that contains a clear gloss.
This “tube within a tube” design is intended to dispense two products that, when combined, are supposed to give you the “perfect mix of color and shine.”
These glosses, however, seem a bit gimmicky. Aren’t all glosses supposed to provide a perfect mix of color and shine…regardless of how they’re dispensed? Nevertheless, this is definitely still an interesting product that’s worth checking out.
