La Mer’s New Gem-Infused Cleansing Foam

PHOTO: La Mer

If there’s one beauty brand that should be driving the trend in luxury-ingredient-infused skin care, it’s La Mer.

Not one to disappoint, La Mer has just launched “The Cleansing Foam,” which promises to cleanse and refine skin through the use of some unique ingredients.

The Precious Ingredients…
This face wash features magnetized tourmaline and La Mer’s trademarked “Deconstructed Waters.” Together, these ingredients are supposed to create “postively charged energy-carrying moleceular clusters” that attract dirt and makeup and make it easier to rinse away impurities without irritating or over-stripping the skin.

Furthermore, the cleanser also features a blend of jade and pearl powders that are intended to provide a “refinishing effect” by revitalizing and brightening the complexion.

So does La Mer Cleansing Foam work?
I haven’t tried this cleanser yet, so I just don’t know. While I have my doubts about the “postive molecule” claims, I’m certainly not ruling this out as an effective face wash.

What I do know is that the intriguing concept behind this cleanser and the sheer luxury of its ingredients are more than enough reason to add it to the Objects of Desire list.

La Mer Cleansing Foam will be available this month for $65 from Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and www.lamer.com.

I like your way of reporting it. But I honestly think that it is a little bit expensive.

    Hi Armine,

Thanks so much for your comments! I’m glad you like the way I wrote about this product.

I agree that $65 is definitely not the standard price that most people would pay for a skin cleanser…and, without trying it myself, I certainly wouldn’t want to let any of my fellow Makeup Moxies think that this product was so effective that it would justify spending the money on it…especially if it’s beyond their beauty budgets!

Having said that, I still think it’s a very interesting product. And, if price isn’t an issue, I say go for it! ; )
