Covergirl Lashblast Waterproof Mascara
When it comes to CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara, the second time’s a charm…at least for me.
When I reviewed the non-waterproof version of this mascara, my chief complaint was that it had a slight tendency to uncurl my stubborn, stick-straight lashes.
Because most waterproof mascaras tend to out-perform their washable counterparts, I had high hopes for Waterproof Lash Blast.
So did this new formula deliver?
Absolutely. With Waterproof Lash Blast, I got jet-black, flirtatiously fringed lashes that stayed perfectly curled. While this product offers very good length, it is a true volumizing mascara that does a great job of plumping up puny lashes.
Low Clumping.
A light coat gets the job done with minimal clumping. You certainly can layer this mascara on for a higher impact look, but be ready with an eyelash comb to combat some clumps.
Minimal Smearing.
In terms of smearing and smudging, this mascara also gave a strong performance. I noticed slight, under-eye smudging after about seven-and-a-half hours, but it was nothing a tissue couldn’t handle (and the mascara continued to wear well for at least a couple more hours).
Bottomline on Covergirl Lash Blast Waterproof Mascara:
Overall, I think Covergirl’s waterproof Lash Blast is a drugstore superstar and I’ve given it a loving new home in my makeup bag. If you’re looking for a more dramatic lash look and a great bargain, I highly recommend this mascara.
You can snag one of these orange-tubed mascaras for only $7.65 from your local drugstore (I got mine at Walgreens), Target, Wal-Mart, or online at Drugstore.com.
Have you tried the waterproof Covergirl Lash Blast, yet? What do you think of it?

i love this mascara- but the waterproof is IMPOSSIBLE to get off! any tips?
5 Melissa // Jan 23, 2008 at 4:43 pm
I LOVE this mascara. You definitely have to go on the light side the first swipe, but it definitely stays put all day (even through running!).
As for the person that couldn’t wash it off, most of mine comes off w/the Olay wash I use at night, and the rest comes off the next morning.
6 Michelle // Jan 23, 2008 at 9:12 pm
it’s a good mascara (the waterproof one) tougher to get off unless you rinse it with water. you just need maybe 2 swipess to make it look good :) + it stays on long even the next morning its still there!

Hi eeels, Melissa, and Michelle! Thanks so much for your comments. And I’m glad you’ve found a mascara that you love!
The more I use Lash Blast (Waterproof), the more I feel like Covergirl hit a home run on this one.
Melissa and Michelle, thanks so much for your tips on removing this mascara! I would go further and recommend that you fully remove all mascara before going to sleep!
eeels, you need a good waterproof-makeup remover like Lancome Bifacil Double Action Eye Makeup Remover ($26, Sephora) or Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover (about $7 from drugstores, Target).
Just moisten a cotton ball with eye makeup remover and hold it against your lashes for about 10 seconds. This will help loosen up the mascara, so that it will be easier to remove.
Next, gently smooth the cottonball down the length of your lashes. You may need to use a few more fresh cottonballs until you’ve removed all traces of mascara.
Most importantly, be gentle! You don’t want to pull out any of those precious lashes ; )
Hope that helps!

Hi, I’m wondering if you’ve tried Cover Girl’s Volume Exact mascara? If so, how did it compare to Lash Blast? I’ve heard some pretty fantastic reviews of both, but no comparisons. :)
9 Jazmin // Jan 25, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Hi Niki! I tried (non-waterproof) Volume Exact awhile ago and I remember not being as impressed with it as I am with Lash Blast.
I’ll need to dig out the Volume Exact and try it again, so I’ll get back to you on that one!
Thanks so much for the question! I encourage any of our fellow Makeup Moxies who’ve tried both products to chime in with their opinions!

I don’t kno if I am the only one but I actually really did not like this mascara! It is not nearly as thick and lengthening as I expected. The black did stay true for the whole day but that was not the only thing I was looking for. I also really did not like the rubber brush. Also My eyes were quite irritated after using it. Im glad it has worked for others though! I don’t know why I am not as pleased. Oh well.
11 Jazmin // Jan 29, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Hi Missi,
Thanks for the comment! Sorry to hear that you didn’t have a very good experience with this mascara. I can also understand how the big brush can feel kind of awkward. What’s your fave mascara?
12 cathy // Feb 1, 2008 at 11:23 am
I liked the mascara but found it impossible to get off. I used make-up removing cloths and lotions but still could not remove it. I have stopped using the product.
13 Lindy // Feb 3, 2008 at 8:24 pm
I have to say I love the new Cover girl waterproof lash blast mascara. Goes on quickly, no clumps, great coverage and really makes your lashes long and thick. I will definately buy this again.
p.s.
Love the commerial with Drew Barrymore she looks hot !!
14 Jazmin // Feb 4, 2008 at 2:57 pm
Hi cathy,
I left a comment for you on the other post about this mascara, but basically what I said was that you might want to try a better makeup remover before you give up on this mascara. I’ve been able to remove it easily with both Lancome Bifacil makeup remover as well as Almay waterproof eye makeup remover. I’m also a fan of Neutrogena Oil-Free makeup remover. Hope that helps!
Hi Lindy, thanks so much for sharing your opinion of this mascara! I’m glad that you found a mascara you love…and, yes, I agree that Drew looks totally fabu in the commercial : )
15 Brandi // Feb 12, 2008 at 8:14 am
I love the regular lash blast mascara! I will no longer have to pay $20 for the Badgal Badlash mascara! I put on a coat or two, let it dry and put on another and wow! they are thick and a quite a bit longer. I didn’t have flaking or smearing and since it was not waterproof, it comes off easily (I hate removing waterproof). I have even left it on overnight and put more on the next day on top of it and it brought them right back out (cause the length had disappered overnight). I didn’t notice any other problems like straightening or irritation. It didn’t seem to be too much on the brush either. I do have to tilt the applicator and get off a little on the very end of the brush, but that was all. So again, I love it!
16 Jazmin // Feb 12, 2008 at 1:42 pm
Hi Brandi! Thanks so much for sharing your opinion of this mascara…I’m so glad you found something you love!
Even if they were the same price, I’d still take this mascara over Badgal any day ; )
While I still prefer the waterproof Lash Blast over the original formula, I’ll definitely give the original formula credit for being one of the better non-waterproof volumizing mascaras out there ; )
17 Naly // Feb 14, 2008 at 2:11 pm
I would like to know which of 3 mascaras you would recommend most.
Thanks in advance!
18 NumberSurfer // Feb 20, 2008 at 11:00 pm
I love my Waterproof Lash Blast. I have to wear water proof or highly water resistant mascara because my eyes water all the time. Especially during the Winter months. I definitely have to use my lash comb and but 2 sometimes 3 coats on. It wears pretty well for me, but at after about 8 to 10 hours I do get some flaking, which might be a problem for contact wearers. The flakes easily wipe away, but my eyes are sensitive so if anything gets in my eye it feels irritated for the rest of the day. Over all its a great dark mascara that holds the curl and I’ve even slept in in a few times and it looks great in the morning with a few minor touch ups.
19 NumberSurfer // Feb 20, 2008 at 11:15 pm
My favorite waterproof mascara remover is called i.d. bareEyes by Bare Escentuals. It’s great because it removes the mascara without leaving a greasy residue cuz there is no oil in it. I use cotton squares and put about six drops of the solution on it and hold it against my eye for 10 sec. or so and then gently start downward strokes until all the mascara is gone. Hope that helps!
20 Jazmin // Feb 21, 2008 at 7:26 am
Hi Naly!
Thanks for your question! But it’s a tough one because I have different favorites based on different needs. But if I had to have only 3 mascaras in my makeup bag, they would be (in no particular order ; ):
1. Maybelline Waterproof Lash Stylist for a no-smudge, thick-lash look
2. Maybelline Waterproof Lash Discovery for a more natural look (which can be combined with #1 to accomplish my very favorite dramatic eyelash look)
3. Too Faced Lash Injection for a thickening non-waterproof mascara. This mascara narrowly beats out Blinc Kiss Me on a matter of personal taste (I prefer more of a thickening mascara than a lengthening one…though blinc is killer when it comes to being smudgeproof ; )
Hi NumberSurfer! Thanks so much for sharing your opinion of this mascara…and for sharing your fave makeup remover ; )
21 NumberSurfer // Feb 22, 2008 at 9:41 pm
Hi again,
I just wanted to reiterate my LOVE of my waterproof (WP) LASH BLAST! I have been trying different mascaras forever and have bought probably 15 different mascaras in the last 2 to 3 months. After I bought my WP LASH BLAST I bought Two Faced Lash Injection Mascara too. So, yesterday I wore my Lash Injection and today I wore WP LASH BLAST again. All I can say is that it reconfirmed for me that WP LASH BLAST is definitely the mascara for me. My lashes are long enough, but fine, like the rest of my hair, so the curl falls out easily, but I do not have the problem with WP LASH BLAST! The curl lasts all day…Plus the no clumping problem makes my eyes look much prettier…Thank you CoverGirl you nailed this one!!! A picture of my lashes is on my MySpace page if you want to see just how long and lovely WP LASH BLAST makes them.
22 Jazmin // Feb 25, 2008 at 8:42 am
lol, NumberSurfer…I think you deserve the award for being Lash Blast’s #1 Fan ; )
And I agree that the waterproof lash blast holds curl better than Lash Injection (though I think Lash Injection holds curl slightly better than the non-waterproof Lash Blast ; )
23 You've got to be kidding me // Mar 22, 2008 at 9:37 pm
I think the most importanttol in my makeup bag is my mascara..
So as I am on the ever lasting hunt to find the BEST mascara… I must say ladies…I am truly dissappointed in Lash Blast.
It hasn’t shown me anything new than the other lines of mascara out there.
In fact save yourself a few dollars and try N.Y.C.s waterproof mascara… I have gotten the same results, if not better, and save myself money at the same time.
24 Jazmin // Mar 26, 2008 at 12:32 pm
Interesting…I’ll have to give that NYC mascara a try.
25 Voltarsi // Mar 31, 2008 at 5:42 pm
Duped. Again. I bought into the hype of yet another “innovative” lash brush — this product is horrible. The thick rubber brush is cumbersome, unyielding and holds way too much product. It deposited more mascara on my eyelids than my lashes. And forget about fine bottom lashes — I doubt a contortionist could wield this brush effectively. Don’t waste your money.
26 poodlefan // Apr 12, 2008 at 4:48 am
I have to differ from the other reviewers here. I am a mascara junkie and try everything waterproof. I found this to be very wet and blobby and had to use a comb to unstick my lshes. Nice effect but very very messy to put on. Use this before you ut onany other makeup cuz you will have to clean up your lids.
27 Jazmin // Apr 14, 2008 at 8:12 am
Hi Voltarsi and poodlefan, thanks for sharing your opinions of this mascara!
Have you tried wiping off excess mascara (particularly from the very end of the brush) on a tissue?
I find that that’s the main place that seems to carry too much mascara (and I still don’t know why they couldn’t have added a tapered tip to the brush).
28 Janna // Apr 17, 2008 at 11:42 pm
I have a question. Whats the best mascara for lengthening? I have reasonably thick lashes but short. Booo! Of course my young son has horribly long lashes I wish I could steal from him. I’ve used tons of different mascaras and they always thicken them which is fine but Id like some length.
Thanks in advance!
29 Jazmin // Apr 18, 2008 at 7:41 am
Hi there, Janna! LOL, I totally know what you mean about little boys (and worse yet, grown men!) who have enviably long lashes ; )
Since you said that you’ve already tried a number of mascaras and you weren’t satisfied with their ability to lengthen your lashes, you might want to consider a different alternative.
Have you ever tried a fiber-based lash primer? A popular one is Lancome’s Cils Booster Mascara Base. And there’s also Fast Lash, which you can find at drugstores or at Ulta.
The fibers in the primer work like little extensions for your lashes. To use the primer, you first apply a light coat of mascara and then apply the lash primer to the tips of your lashes (you’ll see the little white fibers accumulating at the ends of your lashes). You’d then follow up with another coat of mascara and voila! Longer lashes : )
If you don’t want to deal with a lash primer (it can take some practice to learn how to apply it properly), you can also try out a fiber-based mascara like Imju Fiberwig or Blinc Kiss Me. To build extra length, you’d apply a coat of the mascara (as you would normally), but then finish off by brushing extra mascara on the very tips of your lashes. By doing this, you’re basically building up the fibers so that they create an “extension” effect and make your lashes look longer (similar to the effect created by the primer that I described above).
Thanks for the question. I hope that helps!

I finally bought Lash Blast just yesterday (for only $5.19, no less), and I accidentally picked up the waterproof version. I was going to take it back, but after reading your review that it holds the curl in your eyelashes, I am holding onto it! I, too, have literally watched my lashes uncurl after curling my lashes and then applying mascara. The new Lancome curling mascara was a sad watse of money for me. I hope this stuff works for me like it did you! I’m psyched to try it, and I will review it on my blog, too. Thanks!
39 Tina // May 22, 2008 at 8:08 pm
I am always trying new mascaras, I have a hard time because they all seem to smear on me by the end of the day, this one however did not. I usually use Lancome Hypnose waterproof ….the waterproof lashblast volumizing is just as good and over 1/2 less in price.
40 Elizabeth // May 31, 2008 at 9:16 pm
Hi! My first post on your blog, and not my last, I’m sure..
I am presently loving the washable version of this mascara, mostly because I found that it doesn’t uncurl my lashes. I have very straight lashes and only wear washable mascara, and this is really the first one I’ve found that I adore. I agree about the blunt end though – very annoying and so unnecessary. But I am willing to put up with it.
Is waterproof mascara easy to remove? I hate the idea of pulling out my sparse lashes while trying to remove it…
41 Louie // Jun 10, 2008 at 6:04 pm
i just tried this mascara today and it is superb. length, volume,.. and it stayed on for hours..even as i’m typing this. i put it on like 9am and its already 6pm. i am totally buying this over and over and highly recommend to anyone. =) i am super satisfied.
42 What happened? :( // Jun 11, 2008 at 12:12 am
So thanks to this amazing article and great reviews, i decided i had to get some of this magical Lashblast. So i got waterproof to prevent straight lashes, and i dont feel i got any extra volume or length. Everyone here seems to have gotten gorgeous superb lashes, what happened with me?
I feel a bit disapointed.. Did i waste money? I just really thought it would be fantastic, but it makes me think, i just finished using XXL maybelline curl power mascara, ( and i was using it for like a month or so) and i feel like that one gave me much better volume and length, like amazing. so im very confused.. help?
43 Jazmin // Jun 13, 2008 at 5:35 pm
Hi Moxies! Thanks so much for all your comments! Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding!
Gina, Tina, Louie, and Elizabeth, I’m glad you’ve found long-lashed success with this mascara ; )
Elizabeth, I think that if you’re happy with the non-waterproof version, you should stick with it just because it is so much easier to remove.
But in response to your question (and if you do want to go the waterproof-route), waterproof mascara can be somewhat difficult to remove…the real trick is to be patient. Use an excellent waterproof makeup remover (Lancome’s Bifacil is one of the best, Neutrogena Oil-Free eye makeup remover is an excellent money-saving option).
Just soak a cottonball with the makeup remover and gently press it against your lashes until the mascara starts to dissolve and then gently wipe it off. Repeat this whole process again until all mascara is removed (i.e. you don’t see it on the cotton ball anymore).
Hope that helps!
44 Jazmin // Jun 13, 2008 at 5:43 pm
Laura a/k/a Glamamom: How did this mascara end up working out for you?? Inquiring minds want to know ; )
What happened? Aww, it makes me sad to see your little sad face there! Hmmm…I’m not sure where this mascara went wrong for you.
Maybe it’s the brush?? If I remember correctly the Maybelline XXL Curl mascara has a curved brush . And, if that’s the case, may it just “hugs” your lashes better? (I’m totally guessing here ; ).
If you want to give your Lash Blast a second try (and you haven’t tried this already), gently move the brush back and forth over your lashes as you move up the length of your lashes (kind of like a “sawing” or zig-zagging motion). This might help to better coat your lashes with all that Last Blast goodness.
Hope that helps! Let me know if it does anything for you ; )

This product is wonderful! I love it so much. My mom bought it about a month ago but never used it, so when she came by, she asked if I wanted it. I tried it, and my baby blonde lashes turned from “no” to “whoa!” Plus it stayed on in the pool- a seemingly impossible feat until now! Overall, this is probably one of the best mascara’s out there, and for eight bucks, you can’t go wrong!

I LOVE THE NON-WATERPROFF MASCARA. i HAVE TRIED THE WATERPROOF AND I WAS TRYING TO WASH IT OFF FOREVER
47 Shannon // Jul 6, 2008 at 9:36 am
I absolutely LOVE the waterproof version of this mascara. I tried the non-waterproof formula when it first came out and my eyelashes looked horrible. I couldn’t find a good mascara that gave my eyelashes a false eyelash effect, though. I decided to try to waterproof formula. So I picked it up at the store a few days ago, and WOW. My eyelashes have never looked so amazing. You need to know how to put it on right though…do one coat, a light second, and if you REALLY want an amazing finish, do a third on your outer lashes only. I give this product five stars…and for $8, it’s pretty much a steal.
48 lulu // Jul 8, 2008 at 1:24 am
So! I picked up the water-proof version of Lash Blast by mistake, and was considering not using it at all, until today that is! I was going swimming so I figured I might as well give it a try. Normally, when I put on new mascara, of any kind really, I am not completely satisfied with how it looks, it usually takes a few uses. However, I was really happy with my Lash Blast. My lashes, thank God, are very long and they looked really great! I wiped off most of the excess on a tissue, because I found there was quite a bit of mascara, but I do that with most mascara’s anyways so it’s not like that was a big deal at all. It’s just very tricky to get off, I tried using soap and water but it didn’t work and I don’t have any eye makeup remover on me so I will definitely pick some up after reading some of the removing comments! I always tend to buy different types of mascaras when my old ones run out but I definitely think I will be sticking to Lash Blast!
49 Lotta // Jul 27, 2008 at 11:44 am
Lashblast waterproof mascara is the best. Better than Dior Show!! I take use plain ol baby oil generic
Walmart brand or Johnson & Johnson to remove my mascara. I Dip my clean finger into it (I’m the only one in the household that uses baby oil) close one eye, swish the oil around my lid/lashes (it’s slippery so I’m not tugging any skin or lashes) then, I take a tissue or a paper towel and gently hold it against my eye and dab off the old makeup and mascara. Then I wash my face. Very simple eye makeup/mascara remover-baby oil.

My mom got a coupon to buy this product and get that new eyeshadow free so she decided she let me try it for the new school year, so i’m going to go buy it in the next few days and i’m hoping it works better than my old cover girl product because I have unbelievably short, straight, and thin (amount) eyelashes. The product I bougt previously was Cover Girl professional super thick lash mascara and it didnt hold the curl, stay on, or stay clump free and it smuged with the lightest touch! I hope that this lash blast will work, though im not sure if i should get non-waterproof or waterproof.

Hey Ladies,
I bought the WP Lash Blast! I love it …. but trying to get it off… is so hard! I am using Make up remover…good brand… it just takes so long. I feel like I have to be so careful not to pull on my skin and lashes to hard. I also bought it for my 13 year old daughter and am hoping she will be able to remove it well enough every night and not keep clumping it on. She is a contact wearer as well and plays sports. We are trying our hardest! Saw it on the Today Show as being recommended as the best Mascara.

I was not pleased with this mascara..this stick was thin when i got it..but when i dipped it in it became really fat and it didnt work as well as i thought i would. i was very dissapoitned in it.i payed 8 dollars for it and i was not happy. thats good that it works for some people though…..maybe you have to have certain lashes..or more like certain likings!

Ugh! I hated this mascara. Awful. Irritated my eyes (and I usually don’t have any issues with mascara), didn’t do much for my lashes, and it smelled so much like chemicals, the words “off-gasing” came to mind.
58 Zephyr // Sep 4, 2008 at 7:41 pm
This mascara literally had my crying. One of the ingredients is so strong that the pungent smell had me sneezing and my eyes constantly watering.
It’s a shame because I loved the brush, and the product in general. My lashes looked hot. So hot they were watering!
59 Lacey // Oct 17, 2008 at 8:49 am
This mascara was a waste of money.
I have very long, full lashed. My only problem is they are light auburn. All I need is a little color to perk them up.
When I initially open the tube, I had to wipe some on my hand to make sure there was even anything in it. It applies so light I couldn’t even tell I had the product on. To get it to even show up, I had to apply several layers, eventually smearing on my eyelids & ruining my eyeshadow.
Will never use this again.
60 Lacey // Oct 19, 2008 at 9:37 am
I bought this waterproof formula by mistake and was so disappointed. I love the regular Lash Blast but this is terrible. Sticky, clumpy and hard to remove. Yuck. I will toss it as soon as I can get the non-waterproof formula.

62 Jazmin // Oct 25, 2008 at 5:47 pm
Hi Miesha,
A fellow makeup moxie recently recommended olive oil as a gentle, but effective, makeup remover.
Otherwise, using a gentle eye makeup remover is really the only way to go (you can find the directions for doing this here).
You should also try the regular, non-waterproof version of Last Blast, it will give virtually the same results as the waterproof version, but it’s easier to remove : )
Good luck!
And for all you makeup moxies who’ve also left wonderful comments…I haven’t forgotten about you! I’ll be catching up on all comments soon! Thanks, lovelies!!

Hi When I first put on the wp lash blast in black I loved it but after a couple of hours it started to flake off and I have never had a mascara do this also it was very dry and after 3 weeks it was empty i deciced to try the non-waterproof version and the same thing happened so I wasted $16 on 2 tubes of mascara and I’m not happy at all the waterproof is all but impossible to remove and it made my lashes very straight anyways i will be using a different brand of mascara all together

I love CoverGirl Lashblast WP! A tip to putting it on is to wipe the excess off the brush back into the tube.
I take it off using petroleum jelly (aka Vaseline) or Clean & Clear face wash for Sensitive Skin.
I really liked the mascara. The only complaint I have is that they should’ve made the brush about half the size…maybe it’s just me, but the smaller the brush the better. Overall I liked it, and I like the way the brush is made (even if it is a bit big). Definitely would recommend it!

Hey Miesha!
I read your post and just had to share this with you — I just discovered a truly AWESOME eye make-up remover. It’s by The Balm and it’s called “Balms Away, Eye Make-up Break-up” . It comes in a pretty little tin and feels like a really high end vaseline, but it’s SO NOT vaseline!! It is SO gentle, doesn’t sting, and gets rid of EVERY trace of make-up and after you use it, the skin around your eyes is soft and supple, but not oily. I will never use anything else ever again to remove my eyes make-up. I use Lash Blast too, and this stuff just dissolves it away, no problem. You only have to use a small dollop of it for each eye, then you gently wipe it off with a tissue. It’s the best.
You can find it at Sephora. I ordered it from the website. You should check it out! :)

I love this stuff.
I’m somewhat surprised it isn’t more expensive then it is. It works just that well.
I went to Sephora today and tried on other mascara’s and was appalled by how easily they clump.
It certainly isn’t dramatic like some of the expensive brands but for someone who likes to look perfectly natural, this product is perfect!

Hi,
I really disliked this LashBlast mascara- my eyelashes are coming off in clumps because of it! This never happens to me with other mascaras. Any suggestions?
Thanks….

Yvonne, sorry to hear about your lashes! That’s terrible!
While I obviously can’t give any kind of medical advice, I think the best thing to do would be to, of course, stop using the Lashblast and maybe even hold off on using any mascara for the time being. You just want to be sure that it’s the mascara that caused the eyelash loss and hopefully not any sort of physical condition.
If you continue to lose lashes even when you’re not wearing mascara, you should see your physician.
Once you know that nothing else is causing the loss of your lashes, I’d recommend either going back to using a mascara that has worked for you in the past or trying a non-waterproof mascara that’s easy to remove (it’s common to accidentally pull out lashes if you’re too rough when taking off a difficult-to-remove mascara).

Read these reviews yesterday and decided to try it. Bought it at Walgreens this morning for about $8. Also bought the Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover at the same time since I read about some issues with getting it off.
Well… I sit here now after a day of wearing it and am very pleased. I have always had problems with mascara smudging off, clumping and flaking. This seemed to perform well for me. I was skeptical about the brush but really liked it. It seems like it helps define the lashes much better and gives nice length. It doesn’t seem to hold as much mascara so you don’t end up with the clumps.
I have stick straight lashes and this helped them keep their curl, plus they looked super long. Didn’t experience any irritation at all. I know it’s only been a day, but if it continues to perform like today then I’ll be happy.
Oh, by the way, the Neutrogena eye makeup remover worked just fine. Just use a cotton pad and the key is to let it soak onto your closed lid for about 10 seconds, then gently wipe it off. Use a new cotton ball or pad for each eye. Follow up with a warm washcloth and it will come off just fine.

I accidentally grabbed the waterproof Lash Blast mascara the other day. Normally I use the non-waterproof Last Blast and I really like it. But I decided to use the waterproof anyway instead of taking it back. This stuff does not come off. I tried soap and water. I even went and bought some eye-makeup remover and that didn’t work either. I put it on three days ago and I still have the original coat from then. I don’t like sleeping with any kind of makeup on especially eye-makeup. I’m actually on the phone right now with Cover Girl’s 1-800 number. I’ve been on hold for almost 20 minutes without even speaking with an actual person. I tried this morning and sat on hold for 13 minutes until I had to hang up. So far I’m not really impressed. And on top of that it cost me $10.00, plus the $7.00 I had to spend on the eye-makeup remover that didn’t work. This product gets a thumbs down from me. And their customer service gets a big fat zero too. Blah.

Hello,
Stay away from Lash Blast! It is terrible! They say it is water proof. It is soap proof too! I have been trying to scrub this garbage off my eyelashes for days and it is still half on. When I tried to wash it off it turned into a gummy like substance. Don’t buy this crap. Whatever is in it doesn’t break down. It left my eyelashes all clumpy and the worst they have looked!!

Lash Blast clumps and looks like tar on the eyelashes.
