On10 Lipbalms: Yuck or yummy?
I finally tested out two of the new On10 lip balms that I was most intrigued with: The Hershey’s Chocolate balm and the Dr. Pepper lip balm.
Did the quality of the lip balm match the quality of the irrepressibly cute packaging? Yes and no.
The On10 Hershey’s Sweet Milk Chocolate Lip Balm ($9, Sephora) is just about as luscious as you’d imagine it would be. The chocolate flavor was delightfully sweet, deliciously decadent, and blissfully calorie-free ; ) Plus it gave my lips a nice, non-sticky shine.
If you happen to be both a chocolate-fiend and a lip balm addict, I guarantee that you’ll be slathering this stuff on like it’s going out of style. Highly recommended.
Dr. Pepper lip balm goes flat…
When I first discovered these lipbalms I was particularly interested in the Dr. Pepper lip balm and while this tin lipbalm gets points for cool packaging (I still love the vintage metal compact), the lip balm itself is just sort of…eh.
I definitely agree with fellow makeup moxie, eye4style, that this lip balm didn’t have much flavor or scent. If you’re looking to recapture the sweet, pink-tinted Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker lip balm of your adolescence, save yourself eight bucks and just go with the Bonne Bell classic : )
So has anyone else tried any of these On10 lip balms, yet? What did you think of them?

I love these chocolate lip balms too. It’s a surprise that they actually keep my lips soft since I probably end up licking most of it off!
I love this site. Keep up the great work!

I did not like the scent of the Dr. Pepper one either! I bought the Hershey’s Almond on10 and LOVE it! Wrote a review here:

I want to try this now, too! The retro tin is so cute and I like that it has SPF in it!

I picked up the Sweet Chocolate Balm and the smell is amazingly delicious. I thought it was very light feeling on my lips compared to what I normally use (Lush Cosmetics’ Honey Trap lip balm), but my lips didn’t feel dry…I think I may get the Schwep’s grapefruit balm to try next.

Hi Robib! These balms are so yummy, aren’t they?
I like lighter lip balms, too…especially when running around during the day.
I haven’t tried the grapefruit one, yet. When you try it, please be sure to let me know how you like it!!

Normally I’m not big on chocolate lip balms, but I’ll have to try this. It’s such a shame they didn’t the Dr. Pepper one right, because for some reason the Lip Smacker sort of plumped my lips the last time I used it (when I was about 12)
