Love the hair-cleansing power of Psssssst dry shampoo, but don’t like the white color that it can leave on dark hair?
Not to worry, the budget-friendly dry shampoo is now available in a new formula, Volume + Color, which comes in two shades: Brunette and Blonde.
Though I’ve complained about the white color of Psssssst’s original formula in the past, I’ve since figured out that it just takes a little more patience and finesse when it comes to making sure that this spray shampoo doesn’t make your hair appear white (the trick is to just keep massaging and rubbing the dry shampoo into your roots and down the strands of your hair).
Nevertheless, it seems like having some color in the dry shampoo will only help make your life a little easier.
Definitely an object of my desire, Psssssst Volume + Color will be available for about $8 from drugstores.
And because I know you Makeup Moxies love a great beauty deal, I’ve got a coupon that will save you $2 on Psssssst Volume + Color when you buy it from CVS (the coupon’s also good for Heavy Duty Hard Hold Hair Gel or Heavy Duty Road Rage Spiking Glue).
To redeem your coupon, just click here to view it, print it, and be on your happy, beauty-shopping way ; )

That’s awesome~ I didn’t even know this brand of dry shampoo existed, and for $8! I must try it out!

Hi fuZkittie…great to see you again! I hadn’t heard of this shampoo, either, until I had read somewhere that Jessica Simpson’s stylist used it to add extra volume to Jessica’s hair.
The only slight drawback to this product (at least the original one) is that it can smell a little medicinal…but I really don’t think it’s that bad ; )

Hi Amy! You can find Psssst at CVS (which is where you can use the coupon that I included above). I’ve also spotted it at Walgreen’s.

I know! I can’t wait to try this stuff. I’m heavily addicted to Ojon Rub-out, which is $24 a can…and seems to run out quickly.

hm seems you have tried this brand before but in its older form, would you say that it gives the same boost to texture and volume and some of the pricier hair powders? hopefully the only drawback was coloring : )

Yeah, I’d say that, in terms of texture and volume, Pssssst does stand up to (but not necessarily out-perform) pricier powder shampoos (like Ojon and Oscar Blandi).
For me, the main drawback to Psssst is the coloring. However, I feel like the product also has a couple of other (less serious) drawbacks: (1) It has a slight medicinal smell and (2) It has more of tendency to make the hair appear dull.
These drawbacks aren’t deal-killers for me, but I think the extent to which they’ll bother you will depend largely on personal taste.
But, even with its drawbacks, I still think this is a fab product…especially for its price ; )

After reading this blog about 30 minutes ago I immediately wisked the coupon off my printer and rushed over to my friendly neighborhood CVS. I have pretty dark hair so I grabbed the last can of Brunette they had and was already in love when it rang up at $6.61. After trying it my love has held true. It smells nice and fresh (they mentioned the new scent on the back of the can) and worked my somewhat oily hair into a grease-free haven. It definitely doesn’t give any shine but doesn’t look dull at all. It did give some very sexy, matte texture however and made pinning back my hair with bobby pins alot easier (no more slipping). I’m planning on printing out a couple more of those coupon before they expire and hitting up some other CVS’s for my newfound hair-love. Thanks!
