New from Tarte: 4 Day Lash Stain

PHOTO: Sephora.com

Want to go four days without having to reapply your mascara?

Tarte’s new 4 Day Stay Lash Stain is designed to do exactly that.

Formulated with cross-polymers, long-lasting mineral pigments, and ProVitamin B5, this new mascara is supposed to bind to lashes and provide ultra long-wearing color that won’t fade, flake or feel stiff.

While I’m a big advocate of always removing your mascara before you go to sleep, I’m also an absolute junkie for any mascara that could truly weather a day at the pool or a (very) late night out at the club.

Does this lash stain really work? I don’t know yet, but I’ll believe it when I see it. Until then, this mascara is definitely an object of my burning desire. Tarte 4 Day Stay Lash Stain will be available for $18 from Sephora.

And, by the way, does anyone remember a similar product that came out in drugstores awhile back? I think Revlon made it. It was actually a decent, long-wearing mascara that you wore mostly for definition and a little lengthening.

But, if I remember correctly, it did tend to make lashes kind of crunchy!

Oooo I am intrigued! And yes, Revlon made something similar, my friend who is a nurse was devastated when they discontinued it. I never tried it, but I may try this tarte stain …

Hmm, I’m held back on this one. I don’t believe makeup should stay on my face for more than a day, even if it’s long lasting and has all the vitamins in the world. Do they say if this mascara is actually good for the lashes? Or do they just say that it contains vitamins? Very interesting though, I can’t wait to hear some reviews.

Ah, thanks Critty! I thought I may have been imagining things for a second there ; ) If this lash stain works, you’ll definitely have to turn your nurse friend on to it!

And fuZkittie, the sales copy is interesting…they don’t directly say that the lash stain is good for your lashes. It just points out that the Lash Stain contains Tartes “skinvigorating” ingredients, which do include ProVitamin B5.

And I certainly agree with you…even if this mascara actually stays on for four days, I don’t think it’s a good idea to actually wear it that long.

Plus, a mascara that stays on that long probably isn’t that healthy for your lashes (though this is, presumably, where that moisturizing vitamin B is supposed to kick in).

For me, the real appeal is a mascara that won’t budge during one of those 12-hour+ days ; )

I have mixed feelings with this mascara. I’m tempted but not sure of wanting to have my lashes coated with this for four days…

Definitely understandable! But I think it’s safe to assume that we can remove it whenever we want since this lash stain isn’t actually a dye. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see ; )

You will definitely have to report on whether this works! I’m so interested.

Don’t worry, Jamie! The review should be coming soon (hopefully)!

    : )
