Papier Poudre Facial Blotting Tissue Papers
I was nosing around Amazon.com when I serendipitously stumbled upon my long-lost Papier Poudré Oil Blotting Papers ($2.75).
Before The Body Shop started selling its own brand of facial blotting tissues, it carried Papier Poudre, a charming little booklet of blotting papers that have a lovely creamy-sweet scent and just a bit too much powder layered onto each sheet.
Despite the fact that my grade school friends were often brushing excess powder off my nose, I adored my Papier Poudre blotting tissues (they were, in fact, the first facial blotting papers that I had ever come upon) and I always made sure to have a pack stashed in my locker or purse.
The new generation of powder-free blotting papers are certainly superior in terms of performance, but I still love these Papier Poudre tissues and I think that I’m going to snag a couple just for old time’s sake ; )
Was anyone else addicted to these?

I was obssessed with these booklets in high school. It was my first foray into makeup beyond the traditional staples of lipstick and eyeliner. But despite my nostalgia i agree that the new blotters are so
much better.

Oh I used to LOVE these! Just seeing them takes me back to high school (…ahem..is my age showing?) I need to get some for old time’s sake, but I’m sure they won’t hold a candle to my Cargo Blu Ray. Thanks for the post, Jazmin! I thought these were obsolete!

Hi Dija! My experience with these papers was pretty much the same. For me, they were a way for me to get away with wearing “makeup” without actually wearing foundation…plus, with my extra-oily adolescent skill, I felt like powder papers were heaven-sent!
