Hourglass Superficial Lash Review

PHOTO: Hourglass Cosmetics

I have mixed feelings about non-waterproof mascaras. I find that many of them smear and smudge and most of them tend to uncurl my stick-straight lashes (a real pet peeve).

There are, however, a few non-waterproof mascaras out there that perform almost as well as waterproof mascaras (sometimes even better), but they also have the added benefit of being easy to remove.

So does Hourglass Superficial Lash make the short list of non-waterproof mascaras that I actually like? Absolutely.

Superficial Lash is a well-rounded mascara that adds excellent length and a respectable amount of volume to lashes. Furthermore, it holds lash curl without feeling stiff or crunchy.

Though the mascara showed slight smudging after about five hours of wear, it tissued off easily and continued to wear well into the 10-hour range. It also washed off easily with Cetaphil and water.

Superficial Lash easily makes my list of “Best Non-Waterproof Mascaras” and I definitely recommend it. You can snag a tube of it for yourself for $26 from Sephora. or www.hourglasscosmetics.com

Has anyone tried Superficial Lash Mascara yet? What do you think of it?

I like Sephora’s Lash Plumper - I also have trouble with non waterproof mascara. My lashes are incredibly long, but not thick at all, so they tend to brush the tops of my cheeks. Most non-waterproof mascaras smudge all over my face when I blink. Lash Plumper does not. I haven’t yet tried the waterproof variety. I’ll have to test drive it as well, but so far the regular one is just fabulous, and doesn’t come off until I take it off intentionally.

Oooh, thanks for the tip, Aim! I haven’t tried any of Sephora’s mascaras yet, but I’ve been wanting to!

    Hi Jazmin,

Most non-waterproof mascaras smudge but would definately give this one a try.Hope this keeps the lashes soft and enriched.

Sephora Brand Professional Heated Lash Curler does not damage lashes if you apply it after mascara! It ensures your eyelashes curl no matter what type of mascara you use :)
