Revlon Beyond Natural Liptint Review

Makeup Moxies, if you haven’t tried this drugstore superstar yet, then get thee to your closest Walgreens or CVS.
Revlon Beyond Natural Protective Liptint is a light, but luscious, lip balm that provides a hint of sheer, beautifully wearable color, SPF 15 sun protection and a respectable dose of hydration to boot.
At only $7.99, Liptint stands up to tinted lip balms that cost almost twice as much. With eight shades to choose from, I’m sure you lip balm addicts will have no problems treating yourself to one or two (or maybe three ; ) tubes of this stuff. I highly recommend it.
Have you tried Revlon Beyond Natural Protective Liptint yet? What do you think of it?

I’m going to have to check this out :)

Oh hallefreakingluiah! Since neutrogena discontinued their similar product I’ve been looking for an affordable replacement. I almost snagged the tarte 24/7, and I love Black Honey by Clinique but I’m again in recessionista mode. Heading off to the Walgreens tomorrow.

I have been eyeing these since they came out, but for some reason I haven’t purchased one. Thanks for the review. I am going to take the plunge.

hey moxie! its been a while :P
I was going to pick some of this up for a friend of mine! does it have that weird, lipstick taste? I’ve heard comments that its even a little too pigmented for a balm. ;-;

lol heyhey! Yeah, unfortunately, I think we’re all heading into recessionista mode. Thank God for cheap lipgloss ; )

T: I don’t know why it took me so long to pick these up, either. Definitely worth a try. Be sure to come back and let us know what you think of it!

Hey sarahPUFFY! It has been awhile! Always nice to see you ; )
This stuff has a light berry scent/flavor. A little waxy tasting, but it doesn’t have that full-fledged weird lipstick taste.
And the pigment is right in line with other tinted lip balms that I’ve tried, like Tarte Lip Sheers and, from what I can remember, the Neutrogena Tinted lip balm (though don’t quote me on that one because it’s been awhile since I tried it ; )

hahaha! “recessionista mode” — love that!

I tried the “nude” shade, and loved it so much that I went back the next day and bought “berry” and “spice”. I LOVE these….I’m not a lippie person, so these give me just enough color, and natural looking color at that. I want to go back and get some of the other shades!

I’m glad to see this product getting some love — it was a good surprise for me. I was looking for something a little more substantial as well as natural-colored than a candy-colored lipbalm (and didn’t want to pay luxury prices), and the Beyond Natural in Nude did the trick. Smooth and slightly more coverage than the Neutrogena equivalent.

lol, Trish, isn’t that a great term?? I think it totally describes what a lot of us are going through right now!
NurseExec, glad to hear that you’re loving these! I actually just swiped on a coat of this stuff and was thinking that I need to buy a couple more ; )
Karina, thanks for comparing this with the Neutrogena lip balm. Am I remembering correctly that the Neutrogena lippies all had sparkle in them? I really have to check them out again (if they’re still around ; )

Please forgive me – all of you – I believe it may be my fault that Neutrogena d/c’d their tinted lip balm! It seems that everytime I find a product I love, it gets discontinued!
I’m going to try this Revlon Beyond Natural lip tint…..so beware (!) If I like it, it will get discontinued!
Thanks for the tip on this, though! :-)

sarahPUFFY! You’re such a good friend! I hope she loves its. You’ll have to give us an update on what she thinks ; )

juiCybeauty, thanks for the link, babe! When you try it, you’ll definitely have to let us know what you think too ; )

LOL, Bella, stop! It’s not you. It’s more like Murphy’s Law for Beauty…you finally find the perfect product/shade and it’s almost sure to get discontinued (see this post for evidence ; )
Best advice: If you end up loving it, buy two. When it goes on sale, buy four, LOL

I finally was able to try this today, in Pink (I’d wanted Neutral pink but they didn’t have it in). I really like it so far. I love the fruity scent, and the color is nice on me. The product feels pretty good, but I’d have to agree it feels a tiny bit waxy.

Thanks for sharing your opinion on it! And glad you like : )

Does the color really show? Because I have pretty pigmented lips so when I put pale lipstuff on it, it won’t really show.
22 Jazmin // Aug 27, 2008 at 9:17 am
lol, hi “MakeupFreak” (love the name ; )
The color is pretty subtle, but it’s a little more pigmented than most tinted lip balms (like Neutrogena’s tinted lip balm or the tinted lip balm by Juice Beauty).
If you haven’t tried it already, one trick is to blend a tiny bit of liquid foundation on your lips to lighten them before applying a lip color. Hope that helps ; )

OMG I can not believe i waited so long to try these out. I was at my local Walgreen’s, and I noticed they have buy one get one 50% off on all Revlon cosmetics, I was going to get one of their lip glosses from the same line, but then I decided I am more of a lip balm girl…don’t get me wrong i adore lip glosses, but if I find a good tinted lip balm I use it more often. I got 2 shaded the rosy, and pink. They look SOOOO beautiful, feel l8 smell nice, WORK with my sensitive lips. I am now a big fan of these. Even though I feel a lil bad since my current fav lip gloss CG’s Amazemints cost half of these, but it is worth it.
Just to compare it to Nivea’s lip tints it feels l8er, and is more moisturizing
It gives that healthy looks to ur lips, and u can hardly tell u r wearing anything, truly beyond natural :)

Just bought a tube and it is wonderful ! I am going to buy a couple more just in case it is discontinued. I bought the peach color and it is very natural looking and feels great. I am 50+ and have looked for a lip tint that looks natural, believe I found it!
