Gaultier Tinted Lip Balm

Made for a man, but tempting enough for a makeup moxie, Jean Paul Gaultier’s Monsieur Lip Balm just landed at the top of my Objects of Desire list.

This lip balm comes in three colors (Transparent, Light and Tawny) that promise to ensure a “perfect match.”

I haven’t checked out these lip balms in person yet, but I have high hopes for the product. You’d think that, because the lip balm is designed for men, the color will be ultra-subtle with a natural finish and enough moisturizing power to hydrate even a guy’s lips.

As a matter of fact, I suspect this is the type of product that is mostly purchased by women for their boyfriends or husbands (and then later stolen by said women when their non-metro gjuy rebuffs the balm’s lipstick-like packaging).

Jean Paul Gaultier Monsieur Lip Balm is available for $16 from Sephora.

So what do you think, makeup moxies? Would you (or your guy) be interested in wearing this lip balm?

I totally agree with you, if I got this for my boyfriend: he’d stare at it for a while (like it’s an alien) and then I’d take it over! Either that… or he’d run for the hills! I don’t think he owns any chapstick either…..

LOL! Yeah, there’s no way my bf would touch this stuff. Like your boy, my doesn’t own chapstick (and yet, unfairly, never ever gets chapped lips!)

what’s up with that? mine never has chapped lips either…. I’m the opposite. So not fair!

It’s crazy! I used to ask him how he kept his lips so soft (I was convinced that he *had* to be using something) and you know what his (serious) answer was? That he licks his lips, LOL.

I think it probably has something to do with guy’s skin being thicker than women’s skin.

lol, *rummaging through the sock drawer for hidden chapstick*. Contraband lip treatments…..

It must have something to do with the thicker skin.

I think this trend is great. Mine has used Gaultier’s prior line (not just the lip balm) for several years. It’s a nice ritual before we go out, and he looks great!
