Hi Linda, thanks for the question! Unfortunately, I have no idea what brand of makeup Sarah Palin wears, but I’ll see if I can find out (though I don’t think the prospects of a beauty blogger gaining access to a vice presidential candidate are too good ; )
But her makeup look is very classic and easy to achieve (and is also universally flattering). The key is to keep it very natural. Nothing about her look is dramatic or harsh.
She basically wears an excellent foundation that’s appropriate for her skin type, a light-handed sweep of soft bronzer across her cheeks, and a neutral pink lipstick that’s about a shade darker than her regular lip color.
As for her eyes, it looks like Gov. Palin wears a taupey-brown eyeshadow blended all the way up to her crease and then lines her eyes with a soft brown eyeshadow before adding a coat of black mascara.
It really is foolproof look…whether you’re a hockey mom or a vice presidential candidate ; )

Sarah Palin uses Mary Kay Cosmetics - she has that look, and it is confirmed by consultants and directors in Alaska. Way to go Sarah - using the best!

This came from 2 emails we received through the Mary Kay network of consultants/directors. I had heard that she was a Mary Kay customer as governor of Alaska from my adopted director whose daughter-in-law has been in MK for years in Alaska. That was pretty cool, but now she’s taken national spotlight!

I’ve been wondering what lipstick she wears too…but the shade is a neutral pink that’s just a tad darker than her regular lip color. If your Mary Kay lipstick looks great on you, that’s all that matters!
No confirmation yet on whether Sarah Palin really wears Mary Kay, but it’s definitely possible that it’s not Mary Kay that she’s been sporting in her recent big interviews and at the Republican National Convention. I’d be very surprised if she didn’t have a pro makeup artist doing her looks for these bigger events (and God knows they have all kinds of lip colors in their kits!).

I wouldn’t belive that Sara Palin wears Mary Kay makeup. I read somewhere that she wears Mac makeup.
I don’t know if we will ever know.

I think it’s possible that Sarah Palin wears Mary Kay on her own time (or any other brand, for that matter), but if I had to bet on what makeup Gov. Palin wore during big election events (i.e. the makeup her MUA used), I would bet on MAC over Mary Kay any day.
But, like you said, we still don’t know ; )

I’m desperately trying to figure out her lipcolor also. I use both Mary Kay and MAC. We have very similar skin coloring and same eyes and hair, so since a good lipcolor is hard to find, I’m really wondering what color she uses so I can get some!
