WOW only 19.50?? I would go for it BUT I have way too many eye shadows…still for those who r thinking about buying it their eye shadows are great…sadly my lips don’t get along with their lip products…keep in mind i am allergic to Burt’s bees…chap stick stops working on me after awhile…MAC dries out my lips…the list goes on…nevertheless they have veryyy nice shades o lip gloss :

Yeah, I’m always getting chapped lips…but more because i live in such a super dry climate and forget to put on lip balm (bad makeup moxie!).

I didn’t know you were allergic to Burt’s Bees. Do you know what ingredient in it you’re allergic to?

And I agree on the Too Faced eyeshadows…love, love, love them (Pouneh, have we had this conversation before? lol)

OHH MY GOD that is a crime in my book…lip balm is my best friend!

Burt’s Bees used to work sooooo well for me…it is just my lips they GET used to lip balms and they go crazy, but i had the worst reaction to BB my lips cracked, and bled…it was something i never want to repeat…even thu there is chance it will work for me for awhile..then go bad again :(

Lip glosses in other hand r the biggest surprise…I am alergic to high end brand (Lancome, Channel, MAC..etc)
but Cover Girl and Maybelline work great on me

we did discussed our love for too faced eye shadows on ur older post hahah GOOD memory

my fac thing from too faced is their Kabuki brush…AMAZING!! i am planning to get their complete set b4 my big move they r cruelty free, SUPPER SOFT, and last longer…the only down side is they take over a day to dry at least the Kabuki brush does (well it is more dense than normal brushes)
    Have u tried their brushes?

  • 4 Jazmin // Sep 12, 2008 at 3:56 pm

I know! I know! It’s such a beauty sin! lol

And that sucks that you’re allergic to the high-end brand lipglosses…but great that the drugstore brands work well for you (I think it would be worse if it was the other way around : )

haha, I knew I remembered us talking about this before! We were raving about the Too Faced Candy Bars : )

And I’ve been wanting that retractable kabuki brush for ages! I haven’t tried their brushes yet…have you tried any of the other ones? Every time I make up my mind to buy the full set, it gets solds out, LOL

These look nice…. I’m such an eyeshadow addict…

    ps.
Pouneh: Have you ever tried aquaphor on your lips? It’s nice in the winter…erm buffalo winter…

  • 6 Pouneh // Sep 12, 2008 at 9:58 pm

I was actually checking them out today…but i kept my 100$ at home so i wouldn’t buy them r8 now…sadly no i haven’t tried their other ones u can always order them online :) But after many years of trial and error i think they will be wonderful. I read the reviews for it on make up alley the only complain seems to be from ppl who said it does not pick up that much pigment, while some say it does…

I am not a HEAVY makeup lover so i will buy them no matter what

Amanda…I just saw them today…after i am done with my Nivea i will try both Aguaphor and soft lips…I used to have ur addiction until i discovered my eyes look prettier without much eye shadow, but i am sure addicted to lip gloss and lip balm…I am also a big blush fan it is both hard and wonderful to be a female hahaha TOO MANY THINGS TO LOVE AND BUY
    thnx for the recommendation

I forgot to mention the only that never lets me down when it come to my lips…VASELINE! Now they have them in lil tubes for lips with Cherry flavor!!! LOVE THEM…but i sure need to find a tinted kind that works as well :)

  • 8 Jazmin // Sep 14, 2008 at 4:55 pm

Yeah, Aquafor is great stuff! And it will probably work great for you Pouneh (it’s Petroleum-based like Vaseline : )

And I’m still on the search for an HG tinted lip balm or really super, super moisturizing lipgloss. Have either of you tried those new tinted Nivea lipglosses?

  • 9 Pouneh // Sep 15, 2008 at 7:37 pm

So i will give it a try

I actually have the pearl shine, and the tinted red one
The real Nivea lip balm is good
the pearl shine and the tinted one feels weird u can FEEL it on ur lips
but i do use the red one on daily bases gives a nice pink tint…red doesn’t look good on me, but this red tint gives that hint of red that looks healthy :) I usually wear it over the plain lip balm..

I’ve been looking for the HG grail of lipgloss for a while, I like rosebud salve and Tarte lip shears.
I didn’t know nivea had lipgloss! *jumps in car & peels off towards target…

  • 11 Jazmin // Sep 16, 2008 at 10:39 am

LOL! Amanda….don’t forget to get me some!!!!

Ladies, I really do have to try this stuff. Pouneh, when you say it feels weird…what’s it’s like? Thick? Sticky?

I’m actually really annoyed with myself right now. I bought this really nice Blistex lip balm with Q10 in it last weekend and now, for the life of me, I can’t find it. *sigh*

  • 12 Pouneh // Sep 17, 2008 at 8:29 am

OMG i left a comment here what happened?

Amanda….first off that was funny….second i believe u will find it at Walmart easier

Jazamin- it feels heavy, and thick not sticky at all….u know how u put a lip balm, and u only know u r wearing it cs ur lips r supper soft? well that is not the case with the tinted ones

I did once loved a Blistex lip balm, and never found it again :( so i know how u feel :)

Again try the tinted lip balms from Nivea cs my lips r just weird ;) the color is very nice thu i wear everyday for school it doesn’t dry my lips out…i just don’t like a feeling as much.

  • 13 Jazmin // Sep 17, 2008 at 3:08 pm

Pouneh, I checked the comments and my comment spam filter and didn’t find any other ones from you (yours go through automatically).

Not sure what happened it, but I’m sorry about that!

And that’s interesting about the Nivea…I’ll have to check it out.

lol, and btw, I just found my lip balm! (it was in the bottom of a huge bag ; )….It’s Deep Renewal by Blistex….and I’m loving it. I’ll be reviewing it soon : )

  • 14 Pouneh // Sep 17, 2008 at 7:19 pm

most likely it was my internet….i will be looking forward to reading ur review and MAYBE even trying it out :)

  • 15 amanda // Sep 19, 2008 at 12:46 pm

I love a good lip balm review! I always keep one in my labcoat pocket at work…. it lives there.

  • 16 Jazmin // Sep 22, 2008 at 1:14 pm

The review is coming up this week, ladies!

“Maybe”, Pouneh? You’re such a junkie, I know you won’t be able to resist ; )

Amanda, I like the thought of your lipbalm living in your labcoat pocket…like a faithful little hydrating pet for those long days in the lab (lol ; ). If you don’t mind me asking, what is it that you do? Almost everyone in my family wears a lab coat to work except me : )

  • 17 Trish // Sep 23, 2008 at 1:55 pm

hahaha!!! Amanda, I work in a lab and I know exactly what you mean! I keep my Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm in my labcoat pocket at all times. And the really funny thing is that one of the biggest cardinal rules of the laboratory is “No drinks, no food and NO LIP BALM or LIPSTICK in the lab!!!!”

hahaha funny! Lab nerds have to keep their lips soft too! ;)

  • 18 Jazmin // Sep 25, 2008 at 5:28 pm

LOL! That’s right…no moxie — whether she’s a lab moxie, lawyer moxie, or whatever — should have to be without her lip balm!

What’s with the “no lipbalm in the lab” rule? Is it a contamination thing? (in which case I can’t imagine it would be a major problem…unless you’re kissing the petri dishes or something ; )

  • 19 Trish // Sep 26, 2008 at 8:21 pm

hahaha! LOL @ “kissing the petri dishes”!

Actually, wearing lipbalm is ok–it’s the act of applying it that is a big no-no because there’s always the chance you could accidentally contaminate the lip balm if it touches any of the surfaces, then pass that contaminant to yourself if you continue to use the lipbalm (GRRROSS!). Or you could accidentally drop the lipbalm in a culture or slide or medium…endless contamination senarios…none of which have ever happened to me and I’ve been applying lip balm in the lab for ten years. :D

  • 20 Jazmin // Oct 2, 2008 at 9:14 am

LOL! Ah, thanks for clearing that up! (can you tell I haven’t set foot in a lab since high school Chemistry?? ; )
