CVS launches Beauty 360

CVS/pharmacy opened its first Beauty 360 store today in Washington D.C.

Designed to save women time when shopping, Beauty 360 is an upscale beauty boutique that’s connected to regular CVS drugstores.

Unique to the new beauty store is a suite of brand-specific signature services such as mini-manicures, express facials, hand massages and makeup-application.

While Beauty 360’s current offerings won’t cause Sephora to lose much sleep, the new store does carry a respectable range of prestige and niche beauty brands such as Laura Geller, Paula Dorf, Borba, ModelCo, Blinc, Pop Beauty and others.

CVS/pharmacy plans on opening additional pilot stores in 2009, but for now there are only two locations: One in Washington D.C. at 1350 Connecticut Avenue NW (Dupont Circle) and one in Mission Viejo, CA (25272 Marguerite Parkway).

    OMG JAPONESQUE!? They make THE best brushes on the earth, hands down. Fusion Beauty, too? Nummy. I’ve always wanted one of their plumpers, but the price just kills me. I can’t wait til we get one here! I can get even more of a beauty fix than I normally do. Plus…I really want one of those Pop Beauty gel blushers! ;-;

    Denise & katee: Yes! They need one of these in EVERY CVS ; ) Katee, what part of CA are you from? They’re opening one in the OC (Mission Viejo) in Dec.

    sarahPUFFY: I like Japonesque brushes too, especially for their price…though I still think Bobbi, MAC and Shu could beat ‘em in a beauty battle : )

    see, I’ve always wanted to try BB’s brushes, and MACs as well! Shu is just too damn pricey! :P

    Yeah, the biggest problem with really nice brushes is the price : )

    I usually only buy brushes when I can take advantage of a F&F sale.

    I just came back from a quick walk over to visit the Beauty 360 store…great staff and great products! I bought the Star Smile teeth whitener & lipstick in “Luella” by Model Co and the line’s “Illusion Lip Enhancer kit” to go along with it. The crew gave me several samples to try out later when they gave me my bag of goodies and I can’t wait to try everything out! Love that this store is here now!

    Ulta is very similar and has even more!

    Love 360! Ulta has more, more of the same crap that was in the department stores. How much Bare Minerals, Smashbox, and Benefit can one person take?? Go to 360 and light a fire under some of those brands.
