Clinique Happy Perfume Pencil Set

icon

I’m totally drawn to the Clinique “Happy to Go Seticon” $30, Nordstrom) It comes with three perfume pencils in three different scents: the original Clinique Happy, A Hint of Citrus and a Wealth of Flowers. You can wear them alone or blend them together to customize your scent.

The pencils also come with their own little sharpener and makeup bag.

As cute as I think this set is, however, I have to admit that I have some reservations about it. I totally get the concept of perfume pens. They’re cute and small and perfectly purse friendly.

But perfume pencils? The fact that you have to sharpen them makes them less travel friendly. Plus, it seems like you’d end up wasting some of that solid perfume goodness whenever you sharpen them. Am I missing the point here? (no pun intended ; )

They’re really cute AND I LOVE Clinique Happy, but I’m not sure about the pencil. You’re paying for the perfume I agree that it seems like it would be a waste!

I think that about all product that has to be sharpened. Eyeliner, pencil eyeshadows, etc. Not worth my time.

Wow! Glad to know that I’m not alone on this one! I’m wondering why Clinique even made these. Maybe it was just an effort to “repackage” their perfume in a novel (and relatively inexpensive) way?

Maybe if they were like twist-up pencils. That would be ok.

I agree, just too complicated .

Guess I wouldn’t worry about it since they’re almost impossible to find. I’d like to see them in person to see whether they’re worth the money.

I think they could be great, but I haven’t tried them. The advantage over the roll on ones is that you can carry them on a plane without having to put them in a quart baggie and show it off to security! I think it has potential but I personally like perfume solids in a little disk.
